We are looking for a Medical Science Liaison (MSL) Dermatology Sweden who is agile with a drive to build strong lasting relationships and who has an enthusiastic innovative mindset to come join our fantastic Medical Immunology ABN (Alps, Benelux & Nordic) Team, to be based in Sweden.


About the role

As our new MSL colleague you are the field-based scientific expert within the Immunology team focusing on dermatology with you as the leading local scientific expert for the therapeutic area. Your role as MSL includes scientific discussions, presentations and responses to unsolicited questions, (pre-)launch activities and congress participation. Core content of these discussions will be topics of unmet medical needs which are of scientific / developmental importance to UCB in dermatology and immunology.


You are also involved in feasibility processes around new clinical studies and are the primary contact person for investigators interested in investigator-initiated research, donations, grants as well as for developing and executing the medical content of the local ecosystem plan. In addition, you will build local medical plans, conduct advisory boards and arrange scientific symposiums.


Who you’ll work with:

As the MSL Dermatology you are the scientific discussion partner that interacts with national and international Thought Leaders (Key opinion leaders: KOLs), and other healthcare professionals (HCPs) at various phases of the product life cycle. You work externally and internally, and closely with an integrated team across functions and reports to Field Medical Lead Dermatology Nordics and Netherlands in ABN region.



What will you do:

  • Agile and proactive identification and management of key scientific and medical influencers based on local ecosystem dynamics.
  • Exploration and identification of new sources of patient value (innovative solutions and services) by placing the holistic disease burden of people suffering from chronic immune-mediated inflammatory diseases (IMIDs) high on health care´s agenda.
  • Manage and generate product/ disease state data (Phase III/IV, IIS, audits, Real World Evidence etc.)
  • Support clinical studies, clinical development and share insights with R&D team
  • Serving as the leading local scientific expert for UCB in the therapy area.
  • Presentation of RWE/HEOR/clinical information to regional payer accounts and formularies
  • Design and execute local eco-system´s medical plan


Interested? For this position you’ll need the following education, experience and skills:

  • within field of Immunology/Life Sciences, PhD in immunology is a big plus
  • Strong communication/presentation skills. Languages: Swedish and English written and spoken
  • Work experience as MSL is highly desirable. Launch experience is a huge advantage.
  • Proven track-record having worked with biologics within immunology and preferred Dermatology
  • Business acumen with a good understanding and holistic view on the healthcare ecosystem.
  • Influencing skills, by building trust, staying consistent and being assertive in a considerate way
  • Great project management skills
  • Curiosity to learn and experiment with new digital initiatives
