Job Description

ABOUT THE ROLE AND OUR TEAM:

TKWW is looking for a full-time Sr. Data Scientist to join our team of data professionals supporting our Marketplace Zone. The Sr. Data Scientist will partner with cross-functional teams to make strategic decisions, explore the state of our product, and find opportunities for improvement by analyzing data and developing analytical tools. They’ll work with product managers to design experiments and ensure we are making changes that drive measurable results. They will be a valued partner and trusted advisor.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Gather, analyze, and interpret data to deliver business impact and help the organization make informed decisions
  • Use descriptive statistical and modeling techniques like hypothesis testing, regression, classification, and clustering to augment data analyses and insights
  • Forecast and simulate hypotheticals to deliver early potential signals before large initiatives start
  • Design & analyze A/B testing experiments
  • Build out self-serve reports, capabilities, and applications for partners within the organization
  • Maintain a deep understanding of the product, relevant data products, and past experiments and analyses
  • Recognize opportunities for new data products and integrations and work with business partners to implement them
  • Work with engineers to ensure appropriate tracking is in place
  • Communicate, collaborate, and present results to partners within TKWW

SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATES HAVE:

  • Excellent communication skills; able to translate technical concepts to non-technical audiences
  • Strong business acumen skills and ability to translate business problems into analytical solutions
  • Foundational knowledge of statistics including hypothesis testing, regression analysis, and forecasting
  • Hands-on experience with A/B testing experiment design and analysis
  • Advanced knowledge of SQL and ability to write efficient SQL code
  • Ability to code in Python for data manipulation, visualization, and analysis
  • Basic knowledge of dimensional modeling
  • Fluent in English
  • Master's or Ph.D. preferred
  • 2-3 years of experience
