AVUK already has a strong board and wants to take this opportunity to enrich it further by recruiting additional trustees with a rich diversity of background, experience and thought.

What difference will you make?

AVUK seeks three new Trustees to further enrich our Board and support the charity as it works to achieve its long term vision. We want all deaf babies and children to have the opportunity to listen and speak as equals alongside their hearing peers. We want to raise expectations and outcomes for deaf children. We work to increase awareness, understanding and access to Auditory Verbal therapy by providing services directly to families and sharing our expertise with health and education professionals so that many more families can access Auditory Verbal therapy close to where they live.

What are we looking for?

AVUK are looking for 3 new trustees, we are keen to hear from passionate, strategic minded individuals with any skills they feel may be of benefit to the board, in particular with knowledge and/or experience of one or more of the following Information Technology/Digital Infrastructure Legal (to act as Company Secretary) Auditory Verbal UK is committed to promoting equality and diversity amongst its workforce. We strongly value the contribution that people with these characteristics would bring to our board discussions.

What will you be doing?

Our intention is to expand the board to new members to facilitate sub-committees to support the organisation as it embarks on its ambitious programme to realise the charity's mission. Our expectations are that trustees will Attend and actively participate at the quarterly board meetings; AGM and Board Strategy Day. Take the lead at board for their speciality, bringing ideas and experience to board discussions. Actively engage with related AVUK staff roles.
