Bid Manager

Do you have great bid management skills and want to join a dynamic and global tendering team? This is an exciting opportunity for a driven, ambitious individual to join our Global Transportation team and support them in driving corporate growth the aviation and maritime sectors. Working primarily from our Mumbai office, and reporting into the Global Transportation Bid Director in London, you will put your 5+ years of proficient Bid Management skills and experience to good use. Your role will involve managing the tendering process end-to-end, creating effective value propositions and win strategires, research and managing all vertical strands of a project including senior leadership, project teams from all over the world and graphic designers to drive our prospecting pursuit activities and proposal management.

Summary:

The candidate should possess proficient organisational abilities, good attention to detail, be an effective communicator, writer and editor, and bring some experience of graphic designer (preferably Indesign software).

This is a fast-paced environment, where the ability to think strategically, innovate and bring fresh ideas is critical. You will be a valued member of a global team, often working on cross-border, multi-line projects around the world.

Based in Mumbai, and working with the London based team, there will be a requirement to travel to the UK upon request.

The Role

• End-to-end deal pursuit support across the opportunity lifecycle
• Active participation in developing ‘win’ themes and winning strategies and key messaging
• Identify, gather and coordinate key inputs required for a bid response
• Development of a client centric, compelling proposition
• Manage/coordinate inputs from stakeholders, drive the bid strategy and provide clarity of next steps, ownership, timelines etc
• Oversee the creative design of high quality and compelling final response documents
• Ability to use/learn InDesign software
• Make a positive contribution to corporate win rates
• Participate in client formal pre-bid sessions and debriefs
• Adopt and share Bid Management best practices
• Update and maintain Bid resource library
• Be a coach/mentor to other team members
• Act as the conduit between our Mumbai and London Bid functions

The Requirements

• Minimum 5 years project or Bid management experience, delivering high-value and complex bids
• Proven track record of delivering to tight deadlines
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Strong oral and written communication skills in English is required
• Good problem-solving skills
• Ability to assimilate information quickly
• Experience of managing project teams on a cross-border basis
• Knowledge of Aviation, Maritime insurance desired, but not essential
• Knowledge of other lines of commercial insurance desired, but not essential
• Preferred candidate will have worked within a commercial insurance brokerage environment
• Ability to think outside of the box, be innovative and present new ways to present information
• Able to work seamlessly as part of a team
• Commercial acumen
• Proficient with Adobe applications including InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft office applications
• Accuracy and attention to detail approach
• Driven individual with a ‘can do’ attitude and plenty of initiative
