Pact in Eswatini has requested the support of a Peace Corps Response Volunteer (PCRV) to serve as a Livelihood Programming Capacity Building Specialist. Pact has partnered with Young Heroes to build and sustain the capacity of local Implementing Partners and Prime Partners to implement strong OVC and DREAMS programming in the current project Eswatini Ready, Resourceful, Risk Aware OVC, Adolescent Girls, and Young Women. Pact will also be supporting the strengthening of Eswatini Government Ministries to facilitate strong networks for OVCs and AGYW.

The PCRV will support technical guidance to Pact, Young Heroes, USAID Prime Partners and Sub Awardees on Livelihoods programming and provide onsite technical capacity building to OVC and DREAMS implementing teams. The PCRV will also provide technical training support, mentorship support and field based supportive supervision to staff in collaboration with local counterparts.

Candidates selected for this position will be arriving in Eswatini together as a group, so while the departure dates for the whole group could change, dates cannot be changed for individual candidates.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in social science or relevant degree
  • 3 years’ experience in NGO and HIV environment
  • 3 years’ experience in one or more of the following technical areas: OVC, HIV prevention, Youth Livelihoods, and Post Abuse Case Management and a willingness to learn and development skills in the other areas
  • Experience working with/managing/supporting community-based partners
