We currently offer the following position in the region Cologne/Bonn, Germany which will be fully remote.

Key Account Manager (d/f/m) - Life Science Research

Come join a fantastic team! In this role you will be responsible for the growth of direct sales and increasing margins in one of the fastest growing areas of the life science research sector.

Your Responsibilities

  • Own, manage and grow our microscopy business in the broader Cologne/Bonn area, maintain our existing accounts and find new customers in order to reach ambitious and exciting growth targets
  • Develop strategies to win new business through advanced geographic key account planning, account mapping and networking
  • Deploy, coordinate and leverage our outstanding Leica team of Advanced Workflow Specialists, Product Sales Specialists, Inside Sales Specialists, Marketing colleagues and even our Channel Partners to ensure our customers are talking to the right people at the right times
  • Decide what happens and how we serve our customers in the defined geographical key account area.
  • Manage opportunities and sales funnel proactively and constantly in order to produce accurate forecasts for the purpose of business planning

YOUR PROFILE

  • Degree in life sciences (biology, physics, etc.) or another natural science or comparable professional experience
  • Strong and proven sales experience in a relevant industry (medical devices, life sciences) with previous exposure to microscopy strongly preferred
  • First experiences in managing and/or leading cross-functional teams either via a direct line management or matrix setup or are excited to take that career step
  • Hands-on, operational sales capabilities with a strategic and structured mindset, which allows you to define mid-term strategy for a team and take your active part in executing it
  • Fluently German and English language skills

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:

  • Travel on a regular basis within the named territory with at least three days on site with the customer
  • Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
