A renowned global FMCG brand, recognised for its innovative products and market leadership, is seeking an established European Commercial Director. The company operates across multiple channels, including retail, quick-service restaurants (QSR), and foodservice, delivering high-quality consumer goods to millions of customers worldwide.

Job Description

The European Commercial Director will play a pivotal role in driving the company's commercial strategy across Europe. This senior leadership position involves developing and executing business plans to expand market presence, increase revenue, and strengthen relationships within the retail, QSR, and foodservice channels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement the commercial strategy for Europe, aligning with the company's global objectives.
  • Channel Management: Oversee operations across retail, QSR, and foodservice channels, ensuring optimal performance and growth.
  • Market Expansion: Identify and capitalise on new market opportunities, driving expansion and increasing market share.
  • Partnership Development: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including retailers, distributors, and industry partners.
  • Sales Performance: Lead and motivate the sales team to achieve and exceed targets, ensuring consistent revenue growth.
  • Financial Oversight: Manage budgets, forecasts, and financial performance, ensuring profitability and cost efficiency.
  • Innovation and Trends: Stay abreast of industry trends, consumer behaviour, and competitive landscape to inform strategic decisions.
  • Team Leadership: Foster a high-performance culture, providing mentorship and development opportunities for the team.


The Successful Applicant

The European Commercial Director requires the following experience:

  • Sales/Commercial Director within the food/drink industry
  • European experience of leading a commercial team
  • Customer experience across retail, QSR & foodservice channels
  • Be able to demonstrate significant growth in accounts throughout their career
  • This role reports into the European head quarters in London, candidates can be based across Europe but must be prepared for regular travel to the HQ and regular travel across Europe to their team
