The primary purpose of this role will be to lead and evangelize Oracles Operations Support Systems (OSS) product portfolio. The role involves working closely with Oracle’s key strategic customers & industry analysts to understand market and business needs, evolve the strategic roadmap, and gather market & customer specific business requirements.

This Product Management role will function as the primary driver behind our orchestration, inventory and assurance products, Unified Operations solutions and related strategic OSS/BSS initiatives.

The opportunity is within the global Oracle Product Management organisation and will interface with many of the Oracle teams involved with our key strategic accounts, including Sales, Solution Consulting, Marketing, Solution Delivery and Product Development.

  • Communicate effectively their vision & strategy.
  • Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, identifying market potential, investigating the adaption of new technologies and is both dynamic and flexible in their approach.
  • Display the ability to respond quickly to changing business needs, priorities, and timelines. Past experience working on Telecommunications OSS systems is preferable, and more specifically a solid understanding of order management, fulfilment, orchestration, inventory and service assurance is preferred.
  • Be a strategic thinker, leading innovation, provide hands on engagement, curiosity, energy and proactiveness. Influencing skills are also critical as this role will require significant team participation with key stakeholders in other business functions.
  • Work closely with our Commercial, Sales & Delivery account teams to foster growth and success in the market.
  • Work closely with our R&D leaders and teams to develop world-class products and lead innovation initiatives.
  • Translate market & business requirements into clear unambiguous activities supported by concise use cases that make clear the value of these capabilities.
  • Manage the strategic portfolio providing business cases and engage in strategic planning activities with our senior business stakeholders.
  • Provide a critical interface from the Market & Customers to Oracle product development architects and is responsible for the solution specification and acceptance of work. Qualified candidates must work to understand the Oracle product capabilities, and link that together with market requirements and dynamics, in order to understand the impact of the market adoption for our overall product and solution evolution.


Responsibilities

Primary Responsibilities Include :

  • Leading the evolution and Go-To-Market of domain specific Solution propositions and related portfolio impacts.
  • Work with the field teams, and customers, to gather market intelligence and define customer-specific product requirements
  • Manage customer relationships regarding alignment of solution needs with product roadmap deliverables from the product management perspective with little direct supervision.
  • Negotiate and communicate product roadmap additions and their unique differentiators to internal groups and outside partners/customers
  • Create primary product initiatives and assist in the organisational structure to deliver on this strategy
  • Manage and evolve pricing and revenue growth related strategies.
  • Ensure the right blend of trade-offs to maximize the product impact in the marketplace
  • Work with product marketing and sales to create product positioning, content, collateral and tools
  • Create high quality product literature and presentations independently to support communication of new strategic product initiatives
  • Present material to external audiences and chair workshops to solicit feedback of new features


Skills & Experience:

  • A minimum of 10 years in product management or related roles in Telecommunications OSS domain (preferred).
  • Proven Generally Available (GA) Product Release experience at scale.
  • Expertise in SaaS, PaaS, IaaS and Digital Transformation related propositions and products.
  • Good domain knowledge of impact of Analytics, Machine Learning and Generative AI across OSS functions. Understands the goal of Autonomous Networks and AI Operations.
  • Experience in a customer-facing commercial and product role
  • Previous leadership and team management experience – specifically with telecoms software systems, and ideally with OSS and cloud-native applications at scale.
  • Experience in working in projects involving OSS systems (e.g. order management, orchestration, fulfillment, inventory & assurance).
  • Deep commercial expertise and technical awareness of the OSS & Order to Activate marketplaces and Go-To-Market positioning.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills – must be a good “translator”, with an ability to express technical product concepts in business terms, and equally represent business objectives to technical stakeholders.
  • Experience working with remote and highly distributed teams
  • Bachelor’s degree in an IT related discipline.
  • A hands-on collaborative style of working.
  • Outstanding verbal, written and creative advertising communications skills a must.
  • ETSI, 3GPP, CNCF and TM Forum standards an advantage
  • Fluent spoken and written English
