Your Job

Molex is seeking an Application Engineer to support new Medtech program initiatives in collaboration with key clients in Israel. Molex is a leading provider of interconnect solutions and medical devices to the medical industry. In this highly visible position, you will work closely with global product development, engineering, and manufacturing teams to solve our customer’s most complex challenges.

What You Will Do

  • Act as technical lead for new project opportunities, capturing customer needs, recommending products or solutions to the customer, and providing early evaluation of projects for technical feasibility, manufacturability, and commercial viability.
  • Provide on-site and local technical support to customers to secure key projects and design-in wins for Molex solutions. Develop and propose initial design solutions from high level block diagrams to draft 2D prints to 3D concept models.
  • Manage ongoing projects by interacting with customer engineers and project leaders. Determine potential engineering and design issues and resolve in a timely manner. Support quality and product performance issues with root cause and corrective action tools, working with Engineering, Quality, and Testing teams.
  • Build and maintain constructive working relationships with Engineering and Marketing at customer sites. Develop and demonstrate engineering expertise in interconnect and Medtech technology, becoming a resource for customer engineers and project leaders to resolve technical issues.
  • Support new product qualification and validation activities, working with customers to ensure requirements and specifications are well defined then managing requirements changes through the development and new product introduction phases.
  • Act as technical liaison between customer and Molex business units. Coordinate technical meetings between client and Molex where necessary. Assist in driving Molex technology for future programs at client.
  • Report regularly to Medtech Engineering and Marketing groups outlining issues by program.


Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated R&D experience with interconnect products or medical technology devices.
  • Fluent in technical Hebrew and English, both verbally and written.


What Will Put You Ahead

  • Experience with connector and cable assembly development and manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of medical device technologies and applications.
  • CAD skills, preferably Solidworks.
  • Strong written and verbal skills for clear and concise communication.
  • Adaptive personality with problem solving mind-set.
  • Ability to take initiative, set priorities, and organize own work load. The position will be managed remotely.
  • Strong professional skills and team spirit.
