The Corporate EHS Specialist is responsible for supporting the day-to-day implementation of Weston’s Health and Safety Programs.  Candidates shall have demonstrable leadership skills as evidenced in working on project teams, leading/hosting meetings, delivering training presentations, and facilitating safety planning documents (safe work permits, developing safety plans or equivalent documents, performing risk assessments, etc.).  
This is a highly interactive work from home/remote position that may require periodic travel (up to 30%).  Candidates will need to be able to work in a home office environment with little disruption.  Candidates may periodically work from a Weston Solutions office location.     
The ideal candidate will have documented experience as technical/safety leader in delivery of work in Federal, State, and Privately funded projects and working with multiple stakeholders, general contractors, trade specialists, and skilled labor. 
 
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: 
 
Essential Skills (documented experience) 
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, plus minimum of 3 to 5 years related experience.
  • Must be able to demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Experience working in SharePoint, web pages, and virtual meetings. (Teams, Zoom, Skype, etc.)
  • Experience performing in a safety role. (Safety officer, safety coordinator, etc.)
  • Experience with Accident/Incident Investigations
  • Certificate of training 40-hour HAZWOPER
  • Experience in environmental investigations, remediation, or similar HTRW (Hazardous, Toxic, & Radiological Wastes) projects.
  • Working knowledge of safety requirements for high-risk work such as: excavation, construction/heavy equipment, scaffolding, confined space entry, demolition, fall protection, hazardous energy control/LOTO, crane lifts, electrical work, and respiratory protection.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Preferred Skills 
  • Certificate of training for 30 Hr OSHA Construction Safety and 40-hour HAZWOPER
  • Experience delivering EHS training and preparing training content. 
  • Experience with worker exposure assessment and/or Industrial hygiene is desired.
  • Working knowledge regarding USACE EM 385-1-1.
  • Familiarity with Accident Prevention Plans and Site Safety & Health Plans
  • Direct experience supporting high risk work such as: excavation, construction/heavy equipment, scaffolding, confined space entry, demolition, fall protection, hazardous energy control/LOTO, crane lifts, electrical work, and respiratory protection.
  • BCSP Certification (CHST, ASP, CSP)
Expected Outcomes: 
  • Author and review safety plans, safe work procedures, task level risk assessments, etc. and coordinate final delivery to clients and Project Manager (PM) for approval.
  • Incident intervention support, investigations, incident report preparation/delivery, lessons learned, and technical resource for trending/root cause assessments.
  • Conduct safety audits, support development of corrective actions, lead/manage findings to closure, and develop strategies for continuous improvement.
  • Assist in development & delivery effective EHS training. 
  • Implement the Project Health & Safety Program and assist in implementing the Corporate Health & Safety Program.
  • Time management that ensures timelines and schedules are met. 
  • Up to 30% travel.

Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, and other compensable factors.  

Salary Range: $59,000 - $78,800 - $98,300
