About This Role:
We are looking for a skilled and proactive Business Analyst to join team. This role is vital for accurately capturing, documenting, and transforming business requirements into actionable insights and reports. Key projects include migrating dashboards and analytics to Power BI, consolidating data stores, and developing data lakes using MS Fabrik. The role also involves gathering requirements for updates to the sub-ledger platform, which adheres to ASC606 revenue recognition rules for monthly financial bookings into the general ledger.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Requirement Gathering & Documentation:
    • Partner with business stakeholders to identify, analyze, and document requirements for new and existing operational reporting needs.
    • Create detailed Business Requirements Documents outlining both functional and technical specifications.
    • Collaborate closely with BI Engineers, Data Analysts, and Report Developers to translate business needs into technical specifications.
    • Collect and document requirements for updates to the sub-ledger platform, ensuring alignment with recognition standards.
  • Project Management Support:
    • Support the SCRUM Master in tracking project timelines, ensuring that deliverables meet business objectives.
    • Contribute in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospective meetings to maintain effective communication between the BI team and business stakeholders.
  • Data Integration & Validation:
    • Collaborate the Data Architect and BI Engineers to understand data flows from systems like Salesforce CRM, Epic AMS, and the Accounting General Ledger into the centralized data store.
    • Guarantee that data integration processes fulfill business requirements and assist in validating data accuracy and completeness.
    • Work together with Accounting and Finance teams to ensure sub-ledger updates are consistent with general ledger and financial reporting standards.
  • Reporting & Analytics:
    • Work with business users to design and prototype dashboards and reports in Power BI that align with business objectives.
    • Support the transition from legacy reporting platforms to Power BI.
    • Confirm BI solutions are scalable, maintainable, and aligned with organizational strategic goals.
  • Stakeholder Communication:
    • Act as the primary liaison for business stakeholders, facilitating clear and effective communication between business units and the BI team.
    • Hold regular meetings with stakeholders to review project progress, address issues, and gather feedback.
    • Disperse email communications from a shared mailbox regarding milestone deliverables.
  • Quality Assurance:
    • Collaborate closely with QA Testers to ensure delivered solutions meet specified requirements and are defect-free.
    • Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT) and coordinate with stakeholders to obtain sign-off on deliverables.
Qualifications:
