About the Role 

This is a leadership role where you’ll be working in R&D and partnering with the Marketing team. You’ll build the technical solutions for Growth, including improving our technical infrastructure, developing and maintaining the platforms and systems our R&D and Marketing teams use to communicate with clients, and providing expertise in the latest technologies and tools that can unlock our marketing efforts, like CMS systems, analytics platforms, and automation tools.

Role Responsibilities
  • Collaboration with Stakeholders: Partner with Product, Data, Design, and Marketing leaders to implement growth-focused technical solutions. Collaborate with Growth Marketing stakeholders to create in-product growth and rewards solutions.
  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and communicate the engineering vision and strategy aligned with our company mission and goals.
  • Team Management: Oversee engineering teams, including hiring, mentoring, and performance management to ensure a high-performing workforce.
  • Project Oversight: oversee, or help your leaders oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of engineering projects, ensuring they meet quality standards and deadlines.
  • Technical Guidance: Provide technical direction and oversight, defining and maintaining tools that support Marketing teams effectively. Lead by example, providing direction and fostering high-quality, efficient work from your team.
  • Process Improvements: Implement processes and methodologies to improve development practices, enhance collaboration, and increase project success rates.
  • Innovation and R&D: Foster a culture of innovation within the engineering team, encouraging experimentation and helping foster a Proof of Concept culture.
  • Performance Monitoring: Establish metrics and KPIs to monitor the performance of engineering teams and project outcomes, making data-driven decisions.
  • Vision for Culture and Inclusion: Promote a positive team culture that values diversity, equity, and inclusion, ensuring an engaging environment for all employees.

  • Skills You Bring
  • A background in Growth, Engineering for Marketing, or similar
  • Experience building and leading multiple engineering teams of 6+ engineers
  • Experience building client-facing experiences for web and mobile
  • Experience working in a fast-moving, high-growth company and/or experience working in consumer fintech
  • Strong engineering and communication skills
  • Experience managing and growing engineering leaders
  • Experience working in a cross-functional, collaborative environment 
  • Nice to have experience with: 
  • Customer Engagement and Automation Tools, like Braze
  • Analytics and Attribution Tools, like Appsflyer and Mixpanel
  • Email Marketing Platforms and templating tools, like SendGrid and Taxi
  • Content Management Systems, like Contentful
  • Leading teams working with React or React Native
