What you’ll be doing…

The Strategic Relationship Manager role requires a self-motivated individual who is committed to defending Verizon Global Enterprise revenues through managing and executing our customer retention strategy. Operating within the Verizon Business group in Europe, your focus will be on the extension of business agreements, and you will serve as the primary point of contact for our customers through the renewal cycle. The client experience will be in your hands as you engage with existing customers to drive business success and protect our revenue base.

Responsibilities:

  • Achieving sales objectives and targets through working with existing business customers headquartered in France and Southern Europe.

  • Serving as a key link between clients and our internal groups: Sales, Pricing, Contract Management etc.

  • Developing strong internal working relationships to enable an effective contract extension process.

  • Executing customer offerings and driving deal velocity for Verizon Business.

  • Presenting proposals to customers, negotiation of winning outcomes for both Verizon and our customers, and assisting in the removal of factors inhibiting contract renewal.

  • Achieving expected results from a Renewals KPI perspective.

  • Managing renewal processes, from customer engagement through to quote and order, defending Verizon revenue, limiting loss and reducing write-down.


What we are looking for…

You enjoy digging deeply to understand customer needs and their key business and market challenges. You enjoy challenging yourself to achieve specific outcomes and executing projects to win customer business. You look for mutually beneficial solutions wherever you can and enjoy collaborating with others. You’re not afraid of ambiguity and like to close and renew sales contracts within a set of outlined Deal Architecture standards. You love to work in a team and are dedicated to contributing strong results in order to achieve team targets.

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or relevant work experience.

  • Experience in selling Networking, Communication or other IT solutions.

  • Experience of closing business agreements and securing customer commitments.

  • Fluency in English and French (written and spoken).

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • Experience in developing strategic internal and external relationships.

  • Experience of working with Verizon Business inventory, quoting, ordering systems.

  • Experience of working with business customers in France and Southern Europe.

  • Strong communication and presentation skills.

  • Strong commercial acumen, negotiation and project management skills, along with the ability to provide accurate forecasts related to contract renewals and the associated financial impacts.

  • Calmness whilst working under pressure, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
