RAPP Dallas is looking for a Director, Print Productions to join our award-winning Program Management team.

YOUR ROLE:
Provides inspirational leadership and driving force for Production department through professional expertise, team building and strategic thinking. Establishes effective client relationships, implements quality improvements and ensures delivery of desired results. Provides direction, support and development opportunities to help team members realize their potential. Contributes to the achievement of client satisfaction, departmental, and strategic business objectives in accordance with the values.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Participates in company strategic planning, decision making and leadership at a senior level.
- Ensures the accomplishment of key Agency business goals and objectives.
- Manages the operation, activities and financial results for the department.
- Ensures the integration of services with other departments and the Agencies primary functions.
- Serves as a champion and role model for living the values.
- Builds cohesive, effective work teams and provides support, coaching and feedback for members.
- Supervises the assessment and improvement of the department and teams performance.
- Provides for the recruitment, retention and development of direct reports and department.
- Leads, manages, motivates the Production Department.
- Builds and maintains excellent working relationships with Agency partners and vendors.
- Takes a role in new business.
- Supports the Agency in complete Direct Marketing solutions.
- Ensures collaborative working relationships with Creative and Account management in order to deliver a better, more cost effective product.
- Stays current with changes in technology.
- Knowledgeable in all areas of Direct Marketing Print Production.
- Having the knowledge to be an innovator to help in the Creative process.
- Review all difficult data processing instructions prior to vendor no matter the level of the Production person who has created them.
- Ability to look at future plans of Agency accounts, working with Agency partners, to evaluate the needs of each Client.
- Signs off on all estimates and purchase orders over $1,000,000.
- Supervises growth plan of Production team.
- Troubleshoots program execution, Production issues and Electronic Studio issues with all levels of staff.
- Pursues continuing education for self and staff. Attends professional conferences and takes advantage of networking.
- Sets departmental goals and standards.
SKILLS and EXPERIENCE
- Minimum 10 years experience in direct mail production experience, preferably in an ad agency environment
- Strong knowledge of various print processes, lettershop, postal, personalization and prepress.
- Knowledge of Electronic and Traditional studios.
- Working knowledge of prepress operations.
- Highly developed interpersonal, team building and relationship management skills.
- Ability to analyze and resolve problems quickly and effectively with little supervision.
- Proven supervisory, management, presentation and negotiation skills.
EDUCATION and OTHER REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Possess an established track record of successful accomplishment with clients / teams
- Excellent oral and written communication skills

This range is specific to Dallas and multiple factors are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to: skill set, experience and training, certifications; etc. This is an exempt position.
