Job Overview 

Davies is currently looking for a full time Premium Audit Reviewer to work with our organization.  The Premium Audit Reviewer performs quality review functions within the Audit QC Department to ensure that all audits meet regulatory and client-specific requirements.  

 

To be successful in this role, you need to have technical, interpersonal and math skills.  You must have a High School Diploma and three to five years of related experience. Additionally, you will need to be dependable, adaptable, and be able to work in a team.

 

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Primary review of all premium audits (WC, GL, Garage, etc)
  • Audits methods include:    Physical, Remote Physical, Virtual, Phone, Mail
  • Independently determines if each audit adequately addresses the Afirm QC Requirements, state-specific requirements, and client-specific requirements
  • Validate time charges with audit detail and/or explanations
  • Manage inventory of audits to review
  • Work to develop auditor quality by providing technical help and clear information through direct communication with the auditors during the review process, or as otherwise requested by the Davies QC Department management
  • Meet production requirements and expectations as provided
  • Other duties as assigned

 

 

 

Experience and Qualifications

  • 2+ Years Premium Audit Experience (3-5 years preferred)
  • Must have extensive knowledge of manual rules:   Basic Manual, Commercial Lines Manual, State-Specific Manuals for independent bureau states 
  • Thorough experience regarding the usage of PAAS (Codes, Bulletins, FAQ’s, Chart of State Exceptions, etc)
  • Proficient in both Workers’ Comp and General Liability audits.  Knowledge of garage and auto liability audits is a plus.
  • Must have strong computer skills.  Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Power Point, Excel, etc.
  • Must have excellent communication skills.  Clearly and concisely identify errors and steps for resolution.  Effective written communication with the auditors and other reviewers is key.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direction
  • Highly motivated and detail-oriented with strong analytical skills
  • Strong attention to detail and organization skills are necessary

  • Language Ability - Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write correspondence. Edits work for spelling and grammar. Speaks clearly, listens, and gets clarifications. 
  • Math Ability - Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Computer Skills - To perform this job successfully, an individual should be familiar with Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Word, Excel, and can learn other computer programs quickly.
  • Reasoning Ability - Ability to understand advanced Risk Management principles. Ability to properly apply recommendations based upon coverages requested. Proven ability to perform field surveys of items reviewed at a proficient level with minimal errors or equivalent experience or training. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Position Type, Work Environment and Physical Demands

This is a home-based, full time, hourly, non-exempt position that predominantly operates remotely from a professional home-based office environment routinely using standard office equipment such as computers, phones, printers, photocopiers, and scanners and requires prolonged periods of sitting at a desk while working on a computer.  While performing the duties of this job, the individual will be required to regularly hear and talk.  This is a largely sedentary role requiring the ability to sit at a desk, reach outward, use a phone, have use of fingers to operate office equipment such as a keyboard, mouse, phone, printer, copier, and to reach above the head, bend, or stand as necessary.
