Position Summary

The Director, Agile Delivery is responsible for overseeing the Agile processes, Scrum Masters, and Quality Assurance (QA) teams both on and offshore. This role ensures the effective implementation of Agile methodologies across the organization, facilitating continuous improvement and high-quality delivery of software products. The Director, Agile Delivery will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with business objectives and to drive efficient and effective project execution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Agile Process Management: Implement and manage Agile methodologies across the organization.  Conduct Agile training and workshops to promote understanding and adoption of Agile practices.  Continuously assess and improve Agile processes to enhance team productivity and product quality.
  • Scrum Master Duties:  Oversee / facilitate daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives. Remove impediments and ensure the team has the resources needed to deliver successfully.  Foster a collaborative and self-organizing team environment.
  • Quality Assurance Leadership: Oversee the QA team, ensuring robust testing processes and practices are in place.  Develop and maintain QA standards and metrics to monitor the quality of software products. Collaborate with development teams to integrate automated testing and continuous integration practices.
  • Project Management:  Work with Product Owners and stakeholders to prioritize and manage the product backlog.  Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to the highest quality standards.  Track and report on project progress, identifying and mitigating risks as needed.
  • Team Leadership and Development:  Mentor and support team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.  Conduct performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.  Recruit and onboard new team members as needed.

  • Requirements and Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, related field or equivalent experience.
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent Agile certification or experience.
  • Proven experience managing Agile processes and leading Scrum teams.
  • Strong understanding of QA methodologies and practices.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure.
  • Experience in the healthcare industry is a plus.

  • Special Considerations and Prerequisites
  • Experience managing, maintaining and improving organizational velocity and transparency via Jira/TFS.
  • Experience leading and motivating teams through change.
  • Experience leading training to technical users.
