Job Summary:

We are looking for a visionary Head of Product Design to steer the creative direction of our B2B Identity Verification SaaS products.

The ideal candidate will combine exceptional design skills with a deep understanding of digital products to enhance user satisfaction and drive business success.


Job Duties:

  • Use Design to influence strategic decision making, communicate strategic concepts, and facilitate understanding

  • Foster divergent design thinking and shepherding radical ideas that can truly evolve products and organizational transformation 

  • Manage a Design team effectively along with the Design/UX backlog with clear priorities outlined for the quarter/specific sprint using tools like JIRA. Report status of the work in progress to stakeholder leadership through Monthly Business Reviews.

  • Drive and evolve  the Design and UX discovery process to uncover needs and insights through UX research activities such as contextual inquiry, journey mapping, and competitive analysis to inform the design solutions.

  • Create intuitive user interface designs while insisting on highest standards and defend these designs successfully in reviews with stakeholders in product, engineering and GTM leadership across the org.

  • Write effective documents such as a one-pagers outlining UX milestones to improve CSAT or NPS scores, collaborating with cross-org partners.

  • Discern repeating patterns to recommend common UI services that can be leveraged across products.

  • Help up-level the team with Design, UX skill training, sharing best practices on scaling impact, and hosting team events to build an inclusive culture.

  • Develop and present user flows, wireframes, and prototypes to communicate concepts and align stakeholders on proposed design solutions.

  • Conduct and oversee formative Design and UX research to shape design decisions and measure the effectiveness of designed solutions.

  • Ensure that what is designed and released is of the highest quality, is well-tested and enhances the overall user experience.

  • Stay ahead of developments in the Identity,  UX and Design space, and use this deep expertise as an input to help craft the north star strategy for products with a path to incremental transition from current state.
     

Minimum Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

  • 10+ years of experience in product design or UX.

  • 5+ years of experience leading design projects and managing people or teams.
     

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, or a related field.

  • 7 years of experience working in a complex, cross-functional organization.

Salary Disclosure:
Base Salary range: $230,000 - $280,000

This represents the expected salary range for this job requisition. Final offers may vary from the amount listed based on factors including geography, candidate experience and expertise, and other job related factors. Socure's compensation and rewards package for full time roles includes a market competitive salary, equity,  comprehensive benefits, and, for applicable roles, commissions plans or an annual discretionary performance bonus.
