The Job:

We are looking for a Senior VoIP Engineer with extensive experience in VoIP (Voice over IP) and SIP (Session Initiation Protocol) to design, implement, and maintain our VoIP infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in telecommunications and a deep understanding of VoIP protocols, systems, and architecture. This role requires someone who can work independently, troubleshoot complex issues, and contribute to the continuous improvement of our VoIP solutions.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Design, configure, and deploy VoIP systems and solutions.
- Manage and maintain the VoIP infrastructure, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve VoIP-related issues, including call quality and connectivity problems.
- Optimize SIP trunking configurations for scalability and efficiency.
- Monitor system performance and implement necessary improvements.
- Collaborate with other engineering teams to integrate VoIP services with other platforms.
- Provide technical support and guidance to clients and internal teams.
- Stay current with industry trends and advancements in VoIP technology.
- Create and maintain detailed documentation for VoIP configurations, processes, and procedures.
Who You Are:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in VoIP engineering.
- Extensive knowledge of VoIP protocols (SIP, RTP, etc.) and technologies.
- Experience with VoIP systems such as Asterisk, FreeSWITCH, or similar platforms.
- Proficiency in network protocols and troubleshooting (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, NAT, etc.).
- Familiarity with Homer, VoIPMon, Zabbix, Grafana, etc a plus
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Compensation:
The base salary range is: $82,000 - $90,000.
The Base Pay Range for this position is based on the industry benchmark for position, function, level and the company's compensation strategies. However, final offers may vary from the amount listed based on geography, candidate experience and expertise, and other objective business. Convoso’s compensation package also includes equity for all eligible U.S full time roles and exceptional benefits, including generous 401k match.
