Description

This is a remote field position based in a home office. We are flexible on your location throughout the Southeast USA region. We may require location be within one hour of a major airport. This territory will cover: NC, SC, TN, GA, AL, MS and FL. Candidates must live within the territory for this position.

As a Regional Account Manager, you will design and implement programs to maximize sales to Vending/Micro-market operators, Food Service customers, alternate channels, and distributors in the southeastern USA. You will develop and nurture business partnerships with strategic customers for the AFH Division. You will deliver sales presentations to key customers, educate Brokers/Distributors on selling techniques and strategy, and work to increase sales through all business partnerships in your territory. You will train and motivate distributor/broker sales personnel, work with them to gain accounts, and support them in everyday business activities. You will look for opportunity with new items and ensure proper distribution is in place to support operator/customer needs. You will coordinate with other Barcel teams on executing national programs. You will support Food Service and other alternate channel opportunities in the market.

Qualifications

Education/Experience/Knowledge

Ideal candidate will have role progression within the Away from Home business channels to include: Vending, Food Service, Specialty Retail, Entertainment, Hospitality, Commuter Retail, Corrections, and Education segments. Should have an understanding of GPO’s, Distributors, and basic logistics processes.  Should be disciplined to ensure work is completed in a timely manner, accountable for supporting team goals, and a business hunter. Should have a passion for exceeding goals, creative selling, negotiating deals, and enjoy helping customers succeed.

What You'll Do:

  • Conduct sales meeting with brokers, operators, and distributors, to sell Barcel products.
  • Achieve assigned case and dollar volume targets.
  • Focus on the Snack Categories with Vending Operators, Hospitality Pantry, Micro-Markets, C&U, Food Service business, and any other customers as assigned.  
  • Manage all assigned distributors and operators’ business needs.
  • Identify and target AFH accounts for new business.
  • Deliver annual business goals for the territory.
  • Use insights and market intelligence to identify market opportunities.
  • Sell in new item offerings to distributors and customers.
  • Conduct sales training, educational sessions, and support all business partnerships.
  • Up to 40% regional travel.

What You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required.
  • 5+ years AFH sales experience in the food and beverage industry.
  • Demonstrated sales management experience with multiple product categories and customers.
  • Demonstrated in-depth knowledge in sales, trade and marketing concepts.
  • Experience developing and maintaining customer relationships.
  • Experience interpreting and using multiple information sources to develop sales strategy and tactics.
  • Proficiency in PC tools and applications.
