As a Senior SharePoint Engineer on the FAA SharePoint team, you will maintain and evolve a complex environment consisting of large SharePoint 2019 farm with several content databases. You will enforce and evolve design and development standards; propose technical aspects of project design and own implementation of the overall systems architecture and SharePoint application components. You will also work on production-related issues and serve as a top-tier technical support to the users.
- Troubleshoot farm issues, support team members as needed and provide Tier 3 support of escalated cases. Areas of support include web parts, access requests, SP2013/2010 workflows and applications.
- Be responsible for the health and maintenance of all SharePoint servers and ensure that the system maintains high availability and performance SLAs. This will require routine maintenance and patching to all environments, backups/restores. Perform system monitoring and suggest and implement automated process improvement. Research areas for optimization to enhance the performance of SharePoint.
- Use PowerShell scripting to build and generate reports to surface information.
- Identify and analyze business problems.
- Maintain installed systems and support SharePoint upgrades.
- Produce and maintain documentation.
- Perform feasibility analysis and conduct application quality assurance.
- Provide and support governance policies and procedures including change management, perform assessment of design changes and impact.
- Work independently on the tasks with minimum guidance.
- Configure and manage service applications such as Workflow manager services, Excel or Visio.
- Participate in testing.
Required:
- Typically requires a bachelor’s degree in information systems, business systems, management information systems, IT management, and/or other IT degrees (engineering, math, and/or science degrees are acceptable substitute degrees).
- 10 + years of relevant experience including:
- 2 years:
- Server farm administrator experience to install SharePoint Server Subscription Edition (SE) in a new farm.
- Architecting SharePoint Subscription Farm
- Creating SharePoint Server Subscription Edition farm
- Upgrading SharePoint Server 2019 content Databases and service applications to SE.
- 5+ years:
- Scripting/automation experience building scripts for SharePoint upgrades using PowerShell scripting to build and generate reports to surface information, identify and analyze business problems.
- 3 years:
- Using Sharegate and a deep understanding of SharePoint API and how to manage SharePoint using the PowerShell/PNP
- O365 Power Automate and Power Apps
- Relevant certifications or Project Management Professional (PMP)
- Experience with SQL Server versions 2012, 2019 and 2022 and good understanding of Amazon RDS for SQL server.
- Extensive knowledge of windows server operation, maintenance, networking, active directory, windows internet information server (IIS) and SSL certificates.
- Experience with patching, cumulative updates and working with SharePoint content/config databases.
- Experience with REST APIs, ListData.svc, SharePoint designer workflows, SharePoint search
- Experience with third party tools like Bamboo products, Splunk, AWS Cloud
- Experience with SharePoint infrastructure on AWS Cloud
- Office 365 experience – Support Power Platform tools like Power Automate and Power Apps
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
- Clear and concise communication

In accordance with pay transparency guidelines, the proposed salary range for this position is $102,900 to $132,300. Final salary will be determined based on various factors such as relevant skills, experience and certifications.
