Your missions

At PEARCE, we've got a career for you.

Join the nation’s leading independent service provider for critical telecommunication and renewable energy infrastructure. With over 2,000 team members nationwide, Pearce delivers comprehensive engineering, maintenance, repair, and repowering solutions, ensuring the seamless operation of our nation’s wireless and wireline telecom, commercial and utility-scale solar and wind projects, EV charging stations, as well as large-scale power generation and energy storage assets.

Your Impact

As the DOT & Operations Program Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our company’s truck, trailer, and driver operations comply with all Federal and State regulations. This critical position requires a deep understanding of DOT compliance, including FMCSA regulations and State transportation laws. You will be responsible for developing and administering comprehensive DOT compliance programs, managing driver qualifications, and overseeing vehicle safety standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong regulatory knowledge, project management expertise, and a strategic approach to optimizing fleet operations.

Core Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement policies, procedures, and systems to ensure full compliance with FMCSA regulations and State transportation laws. Oversee the entire Driver Qualification process, including vendor management and document verification.
  • Lead the effort to centralize the Driver Qualification system, manage third-party vendors, and develop training programs that ensure drivers are fully informed and compliant with all DOT regulations.
  • Ensure all fleet vehicles meet DOT safety standards through rigorous maintenance, inspection, and repair protocols. Implement tracking systems for vehicle compliance, focusing on Annual DOT inspections and California-specific 90-day inspections.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to streamline fleet operations, improve efficiency, and reduce costs. Collaborate with Operations and Fleet Managers to determine fleet population and ensure proper regulatory compliance across different regions.
  • Stay informed of changes in DOT regulations and industry standards. Regularly update stakeholders, conduct audits, and address any compliance deficiencies promptly.
  • Work closely with HR, Operations, Fleet Safety, and other departments to establish clear compliance guidelines and maintain strong regulatory controls across the organization.

Core Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Transportation Management, or a related field; an advanced degree is preferred.
  • In-depth understanding of FMCSA regulations, DOT compliance requirements, and State transportation laws.
  • Demonstrated experience in implementing DOT compliance programs and managing regulatory audits.
  • Strong ability to lead cross-functional teams, develop project plans, and drive operational improvements.
  • Meticulous in record-keeping, documentation, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Excellent ability to interact with internal stakeholders, regulatory agencies, and external partners.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications and familiar with fleet management software and systems.
