Quality Assurance Analyst

Who We’re Looking For: A QA Analyst for a long term contract role. This position is 100% remote, but the candidate must be a resident of Wisconsin or willing to relocate to Wisconsin at their own expense before starting. Candidates may be required to attend occasional in-person meetings in Madison WI.

Key Responsibilities:

Quality Assurance Testing: Design and execute test scenarios and use cases for Agile sprint cycles. Develop and maintain Test Plans, Test Scripts, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) documents.

Analysis and Reporting: Review and analyze education-related business systems to evaluate user needs. Report findings on system effectiveness and make recommendations for policy or business improvements.

Collaboration: Work closely with internal staff, supervisors, and external partners to ensure effective use of concepts, practices, guidelines, and procedures. Participate in Agile Scrum development processes and collaborate with scrum teams.

Documentation: Create and document comprehensive reference materials for complex program and business issues. Maintain and update these materials as needed.

Required Skills and Experience:

Extensive experience in application testing, particularly in public education systems and policies.

Technical Proficiency: Proficient in .NET, Azure DevOps, and relational databases (e.g., SQL Server). Experience in writing queries, creating test plans, and performing various testing types (unit, integration, system, and acceptance).

Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Agile-Scrum: Experience working within Agile Scrum methodologies and practices.

Preferred Qualifications:

Certifications: Agile Scrum Certification.

Additional Experience: Customer service, business analysis, and experience with special needs scholarship programs and incentive grant programs.

Technical Tools: Familiarity with Selenium IDE/WebDriver, Microsoft Azure DevOps, Windows, MS Office, API Testing (Postman), and PL/SQL.

Accessibility: Experience testing websites for compliance with web accessibility (WCAG) guidelines.
