GENERAL SUMMARY


The Senior Manager, UI/UX Design will drive and inform the UI/UX vision and execution across Preferred Travel Group’s B2B/B2C websites and app as we aim to balance our global luxury brand and aesthetic with the optimum customer experience. You will be responsible for ensuring that all interfaces are visually compelling and easy to navigate, aligning with each brand’s identity and user expectations.


You will be the champion of our design systems, design new elements/components, features and experiences that convert while enhancing usability. You will create prototypes for test scenarios while putting the customer at the heart of all our decision-making.


While executing hands on UI/UX design work you will also manage the design process including helping to prioritize work in partnership with Marketing Operations, keeping track of and communicating feature/task/project status and capacity, ensuring sprint-based work is delivered on time and to exacting standards while also being proactive and finding ways to push the design and experience forward in new ways.


ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIP


You will report to the Vice President, Performance Marketing, working with the digital product/eCommerce, IT, brand creative, and senior leadership/cross-functional team members to create elegant and intuitive UI/UX. You’ll deliver world-class experiences that meet the exacting standards of today’s luxury consumer while growing topline revenue and driving engagement for our websites and app.


DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES


    Design elegant, data driven, customer-focused UI visuals – component designs, page elements, full pages and prototypes that balance brand voice with function and clarity.

    Use design thinking to help guide content execution ensuring that it flows well, is coherent, engaging and can execute on business goals and customer needs.

    Work across web and app, so must be versed in the unique possibilities both bring and optimize both areas.

    Develop and lead UX methodology for all eCommerce products to optimize the user journey.

    Contribute relevant, informed ideas/feedback/designs/concepts in team meetings, working sessions and via pixel perfect delivery of dev-ready designs and flows with required level of detail and documentation.

    Consume analytics and data to understand the needs of our business owners and customers and produce end-to-end designs that deliver results.

    Think conceptually to help communicate ideas and opportunities.

    Create design systems that are clear, focused and highly useable. Partner with front end engineering to implement and ensure these are maintained and kept up to date.

    Be our own biggest critic – be a stickler for detail, ensuring anything presented is accurate with all feedback accounted for. Ensure anything delivered to dev address’ all needs/requirements and all experiences are QA’d to the highest level to ensure a consistently high standard.

    Manage the internal UAT process for all new website builds or redesigns.

    Lead the hypothesis-based A/B testing process and backlog to improve overall UX and conversion rate.

    Iterate quickly and push to effectively increase output.

    Understand systems and flows and prioritize design improvements to yield the maximum customer impact in the shortest amount of time.

    Work with Marketing Operations to prioritize the roadmap, manage workload and resources, stay on top of projects and feature status and effectively communicate this to the wider group and Senior Vice President, Marketing.


QUALIFICATIONS

    10+ years of relevant experience in design of digital products that have been released to market, with a proven track record of success (i.e. improved conversion rates, topline revenue growth, etc.)

    2-3+ years leading digital design teams

    Bachelor's and/or master's degree in the study of user experience, UI design or related fields

    Hospitality experiences a must, including expertise in simplifying complex design challenges specific to booking flows, reservation paths, and loyalty program engagement

    Proven experience delivering end-to-end (from brief to shipping) digital products within a cross-functional team environment with an iterative approach that leverages quantitative and qualitative measurement 

    Excellent organization, communication, facilitation, presentation and interpersonal skills to clearly communicate ideas, concepts, flows and more

    We design and ideate in Figma, so expertise in this software is a must, prototyping skills a bonus

    Expertise in software such as Glassbox, VWO, Drupal, Bynder, Jira, and Asana a bonus

    Proactive initiative that identifies problems and acts on opportunities to improve the product offering, as well as taking instruction and working well as part of a team that delivers results quickly but with purpose

    Strong collaboration skills across disciplines that drive change


WORKING CONDITIONS

Candidate can be remote or based out of a Preferred Travel Group office (Newport Beach, CA; NYC, or Chicago.) Travel up to 5% of time as appropriate for training, conferences, and business meetings to support the overall expectations of the position.
