Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic VP of Financial Advisor Prospect Marketing to help lead the evolution of our marketing strategy and planning for our rapidly growing advisor business.
Advisors drive the future of financial advice. Through LPL’s consultative Advisor Fit process, we work with prospective financial advisors in the industry to help them design a practice at LPL that reflects how they want to serve their clients and achieve their business goals. Across a spectrum of offerings from full independence to our employee advisor model to supported independence, we collaboratively identify the most fitting business structure then personalize it to meet each advisor’s needs.
You will report to our SVP – Prospect Marketing for LPL Financial and lead a team of marketing strategists and consultants. The ideal candidate will have experience leading B2B and B2C marketing campaigns that leverage paid digital media and traditional marketing channels to drive qualified sales leads. This marketer will have a relentless focus on connecting marketing activities to business outcomes. This ‘hands-on’ manager should thrive in building strategy, planning the necessary details, and leading it to flawless execution. They will be a curious marketer who is driven to learn and is energized by the opportunity to build something new, leveraging creativity and innovation every day. The ideal candidate thrives in a highly collaborative, fast-paced environment and is comfortable with ambiguity and pushing on the boundaries of what’s possible. This seasoned leader should have a passion for inspiring compelling, attention-grabbing content and high-quality creative and will help us transform into a more modern integrated marketing and communications function.
This role is located at either the company’s San Diego or Fort Mill, SC office. Hybrid or remote working arrangements are not an option for this role.
Responsibilities:
Create and manage advisor recruiting marketing strategies and plans that produce a combination of marketplace awareness and consideration while driving sales qualified leads (SQLs) and marketing qualified leads (MQLs) for our Business Development team.
Develop and demonstrate deep acumen on the financial advisor audience, market and competitive insights to inform campaign strategy and messaging
Leverage data-based intel to develop audience needs analysis, personas and targeting strategies of prospective financial advisors
Lead the development of integrated campaign strategies and journeys, channel plans, creative and promotional assets across owned, earned and paid channels
Build demand generation and nurture strategies to influence perception and propel prospects through decision cycle
Leverage cross-functional teams and Marketing SMEs across Brand, Product, PR, Communications, and Digital Activation to achieve marketing outcomes
Develop and test new approaches for reaching and engaging prospective advisors; continue introducing innovation and creativity to advance perception and disruption in the marketplace
Own the content marketing and editorial strategy that fuels prospective financial advisor communication frameworks
Manage external and internal advertising agencies in service of development and delivery of integrated marketing communications plans
Partner closely with business development recruiting and product teams and hold joint accountability for achieving business goals, sales targets, and recruitment goals
Measure and report results, identify optimization opportunities, and prioritize future plans based on efficacy of performance

Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration
10+ years of related B2B/B2C Marketing experience
5+ years leading and developing high performing teams
Experience with customer journeys, personalization and data-driven marketing
Experience creating or leveraging content and thought leadership as core component of the marketing strategy
Preferences:
Demonstrated ability to tie marketing activity to business outcomes
Solid relationship management skills including the ability to influence others, manage internal/external relationships, & support more senior-level business executives
Exceptional project management/organizational skills with ability to successfully manage multiple initiatives simultaneously
Capable of managing competing priorities and adapt quickly to rapidly changing environments
Ability to develop compelling business cases to support the evolution of Advisor Recruiting Marketing
Track record of overseeing agencies to execute successfully on marketing strategies and campaigns
Pay Range:
$148,100.00 - $246,900.00
Actual base salary varies based on factors, including but not limited to, relevant skill, prior experience, education, base salary of internal peers, demonstrated performance, and geographic location.
