JOB OVERVIEW:

Owlet is seeking a strategic and experienced Director of Ecommerce to lead our direct-to-consumer (DTC) digital commerce strategy. This role is pivotal in driving online sales growth, optimizing the customer journey, and ensuring a seamless shopping experience across all digital touchpoints. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in ecommerce, with a proven ability to scale digital platforms, enhance conversion rates, and collaborate across departments to meet revenue goals.

Revenue Forecasting & Growth:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive ecommerce strategy to drive revenue growth across Owlet’s DTC website.
  • Report weekly, monthly,and quarterly on revenue & site performance to executive and leadership teams, and provide actionable insights to drive growth.
  • Responsible for forecasting and meeting targets for revenue, promotional spend, and contribution margin.

Analytics & Reporting

  • Utilize analytics tools to track customer behavior, site traffic, and conversion data to inform strategy.
  • Own analytics and dashboards of the full-funnel experience including insights and attribution performance.

Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO):

  • Lead initiatives to enhance site performance, user experience, and conversion rates, utilizing data-driven insights and best practices.
  • Conduct A/B testing and other methodologies to continually improve site performance.

Digital Merchandising & Operations:

  • Oversee the digital merchandising strategy, ensuring products are effectively showcased and promoted.
  • Collaborate with marketing and product teams to optimize product listings, content, and promotional strategies.
  • Manage inventory levels and operational aspects of ecommerce to ensure product availability and timely fulfillment.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Work closely with the Marketing, Product, and Sales teams to align ecommerce efforts with broader business goals.
  • Partner with the Lifecycle Director to ensure a cohesive approach to customer retention and engagement.
  • Work closely with Operations and IT teams on data connections, fulfillment, reporting.
  • Support the development and execution of ecommerce strategies for international markets, ensuring consistency in branding and customer experience across regions.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Must Have:

  • 8+ years of experience in ecommerce
  • Some experience with direct-to-consumer (DTC) ecommerce specifically
  • Advanced experience with: Shopify, Google Analytics (GA4)
  • Experience with A/B testing, UX optimization, and other CRO techniques.
  • Experience with digital marketing channels, including SEO, SEM, and paid social.
  • A “growth hacker” mentality that is able to creatively solve problems and quickly pivot the brand to new opportunities
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
