SUMMARY

The Bilingual Security Manager has an understanding of overall security strategies, implementing policies and standards to ensure the physical safety and security of all employees, customers, visitors, and assets.

Major Responsibilities

  • Provide reports and guidance, assisting site leaders with security incidents. Acts as a contact regarding issues, including theft, breach of security, fraud/diversion, WPV, and other security situations as needed.
  • Work with local management at the facilities to ensure compliance with established procedures and standards around Security.
  • Conduct Security reviews and manage and provide guidance on any new installation to ensure security and systems are maintained at the appropriate level and meet both regulatory and business needs.
  • Responsible for training and supporting the enterprise with security awareness information so that the business can be both profitable and secure for our associates and customers.
  • Complete duties deemed necessary by the VP of Security to maintain a safe and productive work environment for the business.
  • Provide primary security guidance to cost avoidance/reduction, problem solving, contract review, due diligence, and facility security design.
  • Completes investigations as assigned.
  • Coordinate appropriate security for events to ensure safety and provide the highest level of customer service.
  • Review and implement security policies and procedures to increase overall security to create a productive and safe working environment.
  • Participate in local state, provincial, and federal advisory groups to keep abreast with all security-related information, directives, and events.

Minimum Education or Certifications Required

  • Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent education/experience


Minimum Experience or Skills Required

  • 7 years’ experience in security and business setting preferred
  • Incumbent must be dedicated to the principle of ethical behavior
  • Proven investigatory experience
  • Security training and awareness
  • Strong understanding of security policies and procedures
  • Experience in critical incident management
  • Awareness of applicable regulatory and legislative requirements
  • Information security
  • Experience and knowledge of physical and technical security
  • Technical and commercial knowledge of security systems and their procurement and operational application
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • MUST be bilingual English and Canadian French
