Work Type: Hybrid (3 days home); Potentially remote for the right candidate

Available Position:

Technical Lead - Architecture

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Leadership: Lead and manage the technical aspects of architectural projects, ensuring the highest quality of technical delivery.
Design Coordination: Oversee the integration of design and technical elements, collaborating with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure cohesive project execution.
Quality Assurance: Implement and maintain quality control processes, conducting reviews to ensure design documents meet industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Project Management: Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources, ensuring projects are completed on time and within scope.
Technical Documentation: Develop and oversee the production of detailed technical drawings, specifications, and other documentation.
Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve technical challenges that arise during the design and construction phases of projects.
Innovation: Stay current with industry trends and advancements, integrating new technologies and methodologies to improve project outcomes.
Mentorship: Provide guidance and support to junior team members, fostering their professional development and enhancing team capabilities.
Client Interaction: Communicate effectively with clients, addressing technical concerns and ensuring their requirements are met throughout the project lifecycle.
Site Visits: Conduct site visits to monitor construction progress, ensuring alignment with design intent and addressing any technical issues on-site.

Requirements:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture or a related field.
Extensive experience in architectural project management and technical leadership.
Proficiency in design and technical software (e.g., Revit, AutoCAD, BIM tools).
Strong understanding of construction methods, building codes, and regulatory requirements.
Excellent organizational and project management skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Flexibility to work hybrid (3 days home) with potential for remote work for the right candidate.
Preferably able to come to the office in Ottawa or Hamilton.
