Job description

Our US Partner is a provider of flexible office space and coworking solutions. They offer a range of workspace options, including private offices, dedicated desks, and shared coworking spaces. Their services are designed to cater to the needs of individuals, startups, and larger companies.

We're seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Staff Accountant Generalist to join our team. As an Accounting Generalist, you will work as part of an elite team and be responsible for completing various operational finance tasks including but not limited to, accounts receivable, accounts payable, fixed assets, general ledger and financial reporting. You will be a critical member of the Finance team and have broad exposure across all areas of the business as you work with the various business segments to ensure all transactions are booked in a timely and accurate manner.

This is a full-time role, on a US shift and on a Work from home (WFH) set-up.

Responsibilities:

  • Participate in various month-end close processes such as roll forward reconciliations, prepare journal entries, etc.
  • Perform month-over-month variance analyses for specific accounts and operating locations.
  • Compile and organize support for landlords requests, including communicating with landlords when necessary
  • Perform Accounting review on vendor invoices, ensuring locations and expense codes are accurate.
  • Assist in other ad hoc projects as needed.

Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in accounting or finance roles.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel (knowledge of Netsuite is a plus).
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in work.
  • Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration across departments and with landlords.
