YOUR MISSION

In this role you will be  working closely with our General Manager and all teams to ensure Glovo is compliant with regulations, as well as represent the company in front of Romanian institutions.

 

THE JOURNEY

  • Stay current with upcoming and existing regulations, laws, and standards. Assess their impact on the company’s operations, compliance gaps and risks, as well as mitigation plans. Be able to explain regulations, policies, procedures to others.
  • Work closely with Legal and Public Affairs teams to develop effective regulatory compliance action plans.
  • Ensure strategy/policy is operationalised and turned into projects, procedures and product developments.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (including Legal, Public Affairs, Operations, Commercial, Q-Commerce, Product/Tech) to proactively identify projects that will ensure compliance according to the strategy, including advising on applying regulations.
  • Project Management of compliance projects across teams and with other external stakeholders. Monitor through KPIs and report to senior management. Implement internal checks to test compliance. 
  • Prepare and submit required reports and filings in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on regulatory compliance issues, providing guidance, advice and training to the organisation. Foster a culture of compliance throughout Glovo Romania.
  • Support the team on audits, inspections, and investigations by authorities, ensuring all necessary documentation and responses are provided.
  • Represent the company in relation with Romanian authorities and in the institutional decision making process.
  • Own and develop PA strategy, including agenda for engaging key stakeholders, communication strategy to governmental institutions and business community to manage reputation, initiatives to highlight contribution to community 
  • Collaborate with the external Public Affairs consultants. Coordinate mapping of relevant current and future policy, political, economic, social, administrative dynamics , as well as stakeholders mapping. Build company’s positions in consultation processes initiated by policy makers. Strong input expected in terms of engagement plans and narrative building.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key external stakeholders in Romania such as public institutions, industry associations, and more.
  • Support for crisis management when/if needed.

 

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE RIDE

  • Extensive experience (5+ years) in regulatory affairs and/or public/governmental affairs, preferably in a relevant industry (e-commerce, logistics, FMCG, retail, consultancy).
  • Strong understanding of local regulations and Authorities and their impact on business operations.
  • Proficiency in Project Management, with a demonstrated ability to lead and coordinate compliance projects across diverse teams, as well as KPIs monitoring and reporting.
  • Strong networking & communications skills, able to drive collaboration with cross-functional teams, including Legal, Public Affairs, Operations, and Technology.
  • Experience in interacting with regulatory authorities during audits, inspections, and investigations.
  • Crisis management experience, including the ability to handle high-pressure situations effectively.
  • Relevant certifications or degrees can be a plus.
  • Integrity and an ability to promote the company’s reputation, position and profile to key external audiences.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Understanding of complex issues and the ability to distil and simplify it for internal and external audiences.
  • Good ability to organise and prioritise workload.
