Web Developer (Front End)

We are looking for a driven Front-end Web Developer who is passionate about interface design and wants to join a talented team. The mission would be to enhance our innovative web based platform which has a set of unmatched features and strives to become the standard of all other business process solutions.

Web Developers work with the Director of Software Development to make sure any additions and modifications to the SmartSimple platform are done with an efficient, conscientious and innovative approach. As part of the UI team, you will be involved in designing new contemporary interface features and deliver a functional attractive digital environment ensuring a great user experience from start to finish.

• SmartSimple’s headquarters are located in Toronto, Canada with our EMEA office based out of Dublin, Ireland.

What You’ll Do:

• Design and develop user friendly interfaces that meet business requirements and specifications across different platforms, including mobile.
• Write well-designed, reusable. and efficient code using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Collaborate with back end developers and web designers to improve usability Maintain application platform by troubleshooting and resolving problems.
• Research and integrate emerging web technologies to improve existing platforms and maintain a contemporary design.
• Prepare documentation on platform features and processes.
• Other duties as assigned.

What You’ll Need:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or relevant field.
• 1 - 2 years hands-on development experience or web markup, including HTML5, CSS3.
• Proficient understanding of client-side scripting and JavaScript frameworks, including jQuery.
• Experience in cross browser testing and debugging.
• Understanding of layout aesthetics and responsive design.
• Ability to establish priorities, work both independently and as a team. and proceed with objectives without supervision.
• Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems in fast paced environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
