FAQ:

  1. Do I have to speak the language I want to teach at a native level?

If you want to teach any language (English, Spanish, French, German, or Italian) at Babbel Live but are not a native speaker, you need a certificate for level C2 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).

  1. Can I choose my teaching hours?

Yes! Firstly, let the Online Teaching Team know when you want to teach. Everything else is organized for you, from booking classes to setting up Zoom links and class materials.

  1. What teaching materials will I use?

To get started teaching online with Babbel right away, you'll be provided with complete materials created by Babbel Live’s in-house Curriculum Management Team.

  1. What format do the classes take place in?

Babbel Live offers three types of classes:

  • Group Lessons: 55-minute sessions with up to 6 learners
  • Private Classes: One-on-one sessions tailored to individual students.
  • Placement Classes: 45-minute sessions to assess and recommend the appropriate learning level for new students.

All classes are conducted online using the Zoom video conferencing service, and you will teach a variety of levels, from entry-level to advanced learners.

  1. Why do I need to submit a video application?

We want our teachers to be good at communicating as well. This is especially important on an online platform. Therefore we want to see how you communicate on camera.
