The Senior Deployment Engineer at Apheris plays a critical role in ensuring that the Apheris Compute Gateway is successfully integrated, running, and tested within a client's environment. This position is pivotal in channeling feedback from customer deployments to enhance the self-service capabilities of the Apheris product. The Senior Deployment Engineer drives product development to support flexible Compute Gateway deployments across diverse client environments. They engage early in the onboarding process, supporting Professional Services, Pre-Sales, and Customer-facing Solution Engineering during the contracting phase, addressing deep technical questions from clientsâ cloud or infrastructure engineers. The SDE also challenges integration decisions to ensure seamless integration with existing pipelines or components. Exploring integrations with platforms like Kaapana and other data aggregators such as TriNetX is part of their responsibilities. The role involves self-managed capacity planning to provide accurate deployment timelines to clients and client-facing teams. Post-contracting, the SDE provisions deliverables or directly deploys the gateway, acting as the primary troubleshooting contact until full functionality is achieved. Depending on the project size and use case, they may serve as the sole technical contact throughout the deployment phase.
