Overview:
The Solution Architect is responsible for the direction of the architecture that will drive convergence, allowing Origami to launch new products in less time across all our markets. This position will establish technology standards and roadmaps while using exemplary patterns to accelerate development.
Starting base pay for this role is between $140,000 and $175,000. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as transferable skills, work experience, business needs, training, location, and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role will be eligible for a bonus as well as competitive medical, dental, and vision benefits, wellness reimbursement, life insurance, and a 401(k) with company match. We offer vacation and sick leave benefits (under a flexible time off policy in most states).
Responsibilities:
- Partners with business leadership to identify problems, and opportunities for technological innovation. • Helps establish a clear, consistent technology vision through collaboration, influence, and enablement.
- Researches, recommends, designs, and develops the architecture direction for the platform.
- Shapes enterprise architecture design patterns, design principles and best practices enhancing platform delivery.
- Drives culture of standardization and architecture transformation.
- Leads technology proof of concepts and benchmarks to ensure feasibility of architecture platform solutions.
- Tailors communication and conveys complex ideas in a concise manner to a diverse set of audiences.
- Accelerates delivery by forming a network of positive relationships with influencers within the organization and beyond.
- Mentors architects, engineers, and senior leadership alike.
- Stays informed on initiatives across the industry and the organization to help product owners and IT leadership effectively prioritize the platform vision.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Solution Architect.
- Hands-on experience with software development and system administration.
- Understanding of strategic IT solutions.
- Experience in project management.
- Proficient in at least one strongly-typed language (Java, C/C++, C#, etc.).
- Experience with ASP.NET, MVC, HTML/CSS, and JavaScript.
- Modern SQL and NoSQL databases (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or Redis).
- Experience with Scrum/Agile development methodologies a plus.
- Familiarity with various operating systems (e.g., Windows, UNIX) and databases (e.g., MySQL).
- Experience in cloud technologies (e.g., AWS EKS, Lambda, EC2, and S3).
- Expertise and hands-on experience in cloud data capabilities and big data implementations.
- Experience with Single Page Applications (e.g., Angular or React) frameworks a plus.
- Experience designing scalable API frameworks.
