POSITION OVERVIEW

dormakaba is seeking an AVP Business Development based remotely in the US. Reporting directly to Executive Vice President North America Market, the AVP Business Development plays a pivotal role in driving growth and expansion for dormakaba in the North American Market across all product lines. This leadership position is responsible for identifying strategic opportunities, forging key partnerships, and driving revenue growth through new business initiatives. The AVP Business Development will work with internal teams to identify market trends and capitalize on growth opportunities.

 

HIRING SALARY RANGE: $155,000 - $180,000 per year (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.). WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Develop and refine the North American business development strategy, including identifying new market opportunities, partnerships, and business models
  • Conduct market research to identify trends, competitor strategies, and potential areas for expansion
  • Lead efforts to drive sales and revenue growth through new customer acquisition, upselling to existing customers, and expanding into new markets
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as marketing, product development, sales, and finance, to ensure alignment and support for business development initiatives
  • Build and manage strategic partnerships and alliances with other companies, organizations, or individuals to expand dormakaba’s reach and capabilities

 

WHAT WE REQUIRE

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 3+ years in a business development or sales role
  • Leadership experience with a proven track record of success
  • Extensive Salesforce or CRM experience
  • Ability to travel at least 50%

  • Post-graduate degree in business/commercial qualification
  • Ability to navigate a matrix organization
  • Access Control or related industry experience
