Job Description:

We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Respiratory Therapist to join our team and provide virtual pulmonary rehabilitation services to patients. This part-time position offers the flexibility to work remotely with the potential to transition to a full-time role as patient volumes increase. We offer an entrepreneurial work environment focused on growth. We're looking for individuals who are comfortable with ambiguity and thrive in figuring things out independently.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct virtual assessments and develop individualized pulmonary rehabilitation plans for patients.
  • Provide education and training to patients and caregivers on respiratory care techniques and equipment usage.
  • Monitor patients’ progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate patient care and address any clinical concerns.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation.
  • Offer emotional support and encouragement to patients and their families throughout the rehabilitation process.
  • Stay current with best practices and advancements in respiratory care and pulmonary rehabilitation.
  • Acts as Morlen Health brand ambassador. Consistently presents with a positive attitude and is conscientious, communicative, helpful, and responsive
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, providing an exceptional care experience for al patients
  • Escalates patient safety concerns to the provider and the care team
  • Punctual, regular, timely, and dependable attendance

Qualifications:

  • Successful completion of a two-year AMA approved school of Respiratory Care with Associates Degree in Respiratory Care, completion of a 96-hour program with a Bachelor of Arts or Science Degree or a Non-Traditional Program which meets the criteria of the National Board for Respiratory Care. 
  • Applicants must be a licensed Respiratory Therapist and able to obtain licenses in Virginia and Georgia within 30 days of hire.
  • Experience in pulmonary rehabilitation is preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Proficient in using virtual communication platforms and electronic health record systems.
  • Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.

Working Hours:

  • Part-time with flexible hours based on clinical needs and patient schedules.
  • Potential to expand to a full-time position as patient volumes increase.

Patients are scheduled on Tuesday and Thursday mornings. Respiratory Therapists will be scheduled as needed to meet patient needs, with hours initially being limited and flexible based on clinical requirements and patient appointments.
