Key Position Details:

• Hybrid position-80% remote and 20% onsite (Allina Commons in Minneapolis).
• Excellent communication and customer service skills are essential for this role
• Foundation and Fund accounting experience preferred
• Workday experience a plus
• 1.0 FTE (80 hours per two-week period)

Job Description:

Ensures the accounting records are accurate, complete and prepared in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and consistent with corporate policy. Responsible for the preparation of the monthly financial statements, prepares account entries, reconciles asset and liability accounts and performs analysis that supports the month end close process. Ensures proper maintenance of accounting controls and processes.

Principle Responsibilities

• Records routine and non-routine accounting transactions that includes hospitals, clinics, system office and all sites.
  • Contributes to the financial month end close process.
  • Performs account reconciliations and proactively researches variances.
  • Performs analytics and basic trend analysis.
  • Anticipates customers needs and concerns.
  • Looks for opportunities for efficiencies/process improvement.
  • Utilizes the functionality of an integrated accounting system.
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, business or finance
• 2 to 5 years of accounting experience
