Finance Business Partner GBI & Finance Director, Varian Medical Systems UK Limited.

Job Summary:

  • Represents Varian GB together with the Managing Director (MD)

  • Responsible for the entire financials (e.g. annual UK GAAP or IFRS accounts and tax returns) as well as the implementation of and compliance with the Siemens Healthineers directives

  • Contact person for Siemens Healthineers Shareholder Controlling

  • Responsible for all financial projects

  • Interface with external Company Secretary on any Board meetings or resolutions

  • Interaction, as necessary, with external auditors

Finance Business Partner (FBP) Great Britain / Ireland (GBI):

  • Main contact person for the Zone Head Great Britain / Ireland (GBI) of the Varian Business Line ROS (Radiation Oncology Solutions) as well as for the management team of Varian GB

  • Responsible for:

    • Proactively providing business and financial analysis, as well as analyzing variances and trends in business performance to assist the Zone in achieving goals and making decisions.

    • Identification of potential for improvement, risks and opportunities on the basis of decision-relevant financial data.

    • Provide regular forward-looking data and analysis to management in terms of profitability, competitive environment and products.

    • Executed on the strategic 5-year plan and local budget process for Zone GBI and the legal entity.

    • Preparation of the monthly forecast in accordance with business guidelines and ensuring that they accurately reflect the future course of the business.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent with a focus on business or economics; Advanced degree or certification in the field of accounting (e.g. CPA, MBA) desirable

  • Several years of experience in a similar function in an international company

  • Experience with SAP or comparable ERP systems as well as BI tools such as Qlik Sense / QlikView, Jedox, etc. desirable

  • You are detail-oriented, very well organized and can handle extensive data

  • Strong leadership skills in dealing with different groups and in personnel development

  • Strong advisory skills to enhance cross-functional collaboration within the regional leadership team

  • Strategic view of regional corporate development

  • High analytical skills and a strong desire to learn

  • Fluent in English
