Your missions

Purpose

The Senior CLS Consultant is responsible for delivering detailed product value and expertise to the sales team through pre-sales consultative engagements. They play a supporting role during client meetings, both virtual and on-site, workflow assessments and consults.. As a member of a cross-functional subject matter expert team, responsibilities include formulating client facing presentations/demonstrations as well as preparation and dissemination of sales training materials developed from strategies, product knowledge, proof points and market differentiators created by Product Management and Marketing..

Senior CLS Consultants are also tasked with implementing actionable processes and developing content for Request for Information (RFI) and Request for Proposal (RFP) responses. They are expected to partner with Sales and Marketing Leadership to effectively produce sales-ready and deal specific content that’s consistent in messaging across the business.

Essential Functions

  • Trains and mentors other Clinical Consultants on Clinisys solutions for client and prospect software demonstrations and presentations and acts as internal subject matter expert in the Sales Department across clinical, anatomic pathology and molecular/genetics solutions
  • Assists in the completion of Requests for Information and Requests for Proposal by providing clinical subject matter expertise and detailed product feature/function and value/benefit
  • Plans and leads client software demonstrations by preparing and tailoring value/benefit statements to show clients why Clinisys is the best choice
  • Represents the Clinisys Sales team in providing subject matter expertise to Product Management and Product Development departments to influence product lifecycle
  • Represents company at trade association meetings to demo and promote products
  • Provides internal training on Clinisys solutions, workflows and new offerings
  • Responsible for keeping up with on-going changes and trends in the healthcare industry that may affect the positioning of Clinisys solutions
  • Perform onsite or virtual assessments for clients including workflow and strategic meetings as well as follow up engagements
  • All other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Skills needed to be successful

  • Proven and successful consulting and presentation skills
  • Maintains knowledge of emerging trends in the clinical healthcare information market
  • Delivers polished communications in a high-pressure sales environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Experience with using LIS, HIS or EMR
  • Strong time management and organization skills
  • Works independently

Required Experience & Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in a Laboratory Science (Chemistry, Molecular Biology, etc)
  • MT, MLT or CLA accreditation
  • 4 years’ experience working in a lab as a MT, MLT or CLS
  • Demonstrated experience with clinical information systems
  • 2 years’ experience as Clinical Consultant or equivalent
  • Clinisys Information Systems LIS experience
  • Experience with giving presentations to groups

Preferred Experience & Education

  • Experience with leading teams or individuals

The starting pay range for a candidate selected for this position is generally within the range of $85,000 to $115,000 for annual base salary. The successful candidate’s actual pay will be based on various factors, such as work location, qualifications, and experience, so the actual starting pay may be above or below this range.

Physical Requirements

  • Work is performed in a normal office setting with minimal exposure to health or safety hazards. Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • 75% Travel may be required
  • Moderate lifting/carrying 15-44 lbs; use of fingers; walking/standing 2-6 hours
  • Exposure to hazardous materials or various weather conditions
  • Travel to client sites that can pose risk associated with healthcare organization
  • May be required to follow customer location health and safety requirements
