Your missions

Our client is seeking a litigation attorney with 5+ years of experience to join its Fidelity Surety & Coverage business unit. This position will be part of the surety/construction team in Collin County, TX.

The surety group's practice focuses on litigation in both state and federal courts, counseling, dispute resolution, and contract drafting and negotiation. All candidates must be licensed and in good standing with the Texas Bar.

The ideal candidate will possess the following skillsets and experience:

  • Practical or legal knowledge regarding the construction industry
  • Prior experience with construction disputes, mechanics’ liens, and/or preparing and negotiating construction contracts and other construction documents (preferred but not required)
  • The ability to work in a collaborative team-oriented environment with other attorneys, team members, consultants, and clients
  • Superb written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent academic credentials

The salary range for this position at the time of posting is $165,000 - $190,000 annually, based upon a full-time work schedule. Actual compensation will be influenced by various factors, including but not limited to employee qualifications, relevant experience, skill sets, training, internal equity, and market data. This position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. In addition, the firm offers employees the ability to participate in health insurance with optional HSA/FSA, short term disability, long term disability, dental insurance, vision care, life insurance, 401K, vacation, sick time, parking/public transportation allowance, and an employee assistance program.
