Your missions

Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Solutions Architect to help support our growing team. As a Solutions Architect, you will play a crucial role in designing and implementing secure, scalable, and reliable cloud-based solutions using Microsoft Azure. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including application developers, data engineers, cloud engineers, product owners, and project managers, to deliver innovative solutions that align with business objectives. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, exceptional problem-solving skills, a deep understanding of application development and cloud native technologies, in addition to healthcare related experience.

The Solutions Architect is a full-time, remote, exempt position and reports to the Sr. Director, Enterprise Architecture & Infrastructure.

Base Salary Range: $170,000 - $190,000 annually.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Architect and design end-to-end solutions on the Azure platform that meet business and technical requirements aligning to organizational architectural principles.
  • Collaborate with multiple stakeholders to gather and analyze business and technical requirements and translate them into Azure-based solutions.
  • Create architectural designs, blueprints, and documentation that outlines the proposed solution and ensure alignment with industry best practices and standards.
  • Define and enforce architectural standards and best practices for Azure cloud deployments.
  • Provide guidance to the application development and data teams throughout the product development lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with the application development, data and infrastructure teams to ensure the effective integration of applications and services into Azure.
  • Evaluate and recommend appropriate technologies, platforms, frameworks, and tools to support the solution design.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and proof-of-concepts to validate the technical viability and effectiveness of proposed solutions.
  • Conduct performance tuning, monitoring, and troubleshooting of Azure solutions to optimize performance and reliability.
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with the solution design and implementation.
  • Ensure scalability, reliability, performance, and security considerations are addressed in the solution design.
  • Collaborate with project managers, product owners and technology team to estimate effort, define project scope, and develop implementation plans.
  • Conduct design reviews to ensure adherence to architectural guidelines and best practices.
  • Stay up to date with the latest Azure services, features, and industry trends to provide guidance and make recommendations for their adoption.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • The Solutions Architect role will work directly with vendor partners to provide guidance and direction in the overall architecture & design of Cloud based solutions.

Skills: 

  • Strong knowledge of software architecture principles, design patterns, and best practices.
  • Understanding of Azure services, including compute, networking, storage, databases, and security.
  • Proficiency in designing and implementing cloud-based architectures, including DaaS, IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS models.
  • Solid understanding of security best practices and experience implementing security controls in Azure.
  • Familiarity with microservices architecture, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and serverless computing.
  • Experience with modern web application frameworks and technologies (Angular, React, Node.js).
  • Experienced in large volume data environments and associated data management methodologies.
  • Strong understanding of API lifecycle management and associated technologies (SOAP, Rest, GraphQL,).
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to translate complex business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and present technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Experience:

  • 8+ years of experience as a Solution Architect or a similar role, designing and implementing enterprise-level solutions.
  • Experience with Agile software development methodologies.
  • Experience in healthcare industry required.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field is strongly preferred.
  • A Master's degree is a plus.
  • Microsoft Azure certifications are a plus.
