We are seeking an Experienced Healthcare Compliance Program Manager, with a focus on

Audit and New Requirements.

 

The role of a Compliance Program Manager is to ensure LIBERTY’s compliance program meets regulatory and contractual standards for Commercial, Exchange, Medicaid, and Medicare lines of business. The successful individual must demonstrate integrity, credibility, strong interpersonal skills, and a command of regulatory requirements impacting government managed healthcare. Additionally, this role requires the ability to handle sensitive matters with the utmost discretion. Essential duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

             

Job Summary Details:

  • Serves as subject matter expert for requirements impacting LIBERTY’s lines of business, and as a compliance resource to functional areas.
  • Assists with the management of the daily operations of the Compliance and Privacy Program.
  • Coordinates all aspects of HIPAA compliance program, including incident management program.
  • Monitors, identifies, summarizes, and maintains a repository of applicable regulatory and contractual requirements.
  • Coordinates with functional areas to ensure implementation of new contract requirements.
  • Research and advise on ad hoc compliance related inquiries.
  • Responds to client/regulatory audits and corrective action plans.
  • Reviews forms, including provider agreements, client agreements, business associate agreements, policies and procedures, member facing materials, etc. for compliance implications.
  • Coordinates LIBERTY’s annual risk assessment, workplan and testing program; maintaining LIBERTY’s Compliance Plan, Code of Conduct, and related materials.
  • Aggregates, analyzes and reports on findings, including: identifying error trends and root causes, and making recommendations for performance improvement; preparing reports to meet the needs of key stakeholders including the Compliance team, functional areas, senior executive management, the Compliance, Security & Privacy Officers, and LIBERTY’s Board of Directors; and developing and maintaining a compliance dashboard, weekly compliance status summaries, compliance status tracking tools, etc.
  • Develops department reporting templates and oversees weekly updates to identify risk.
  • Manages compliance-related initiatives and special projects, including supporting the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of various compliance processes across LIBERTY.
  • Ensures Compliance training materials are up to date and coordinates enterprise-wide, annual compliance training.
  • Coordinates all aspects of quarterly Compliance Committee and related subcommittees and prepares compliance reports for Board of Directors meetings.
  • Identifies opportunities and supports efforts to influence a culture of compliance.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

                 

                   

Qualifications

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelors Degree-and relevant industry certifications required, or equivalent experience
  • 7+ years progressive regulatory compliance and oversight experience

 

Specific Skills/Knowledge:

  • Direct experience in government managed or regulated healthcare compliance (e.g. Medicare, Medicaid, DMHC, DHCS, CMS, etc.)
  • Demonstrated experience in compiling, coordinating, analyzing, and organizing regulatory requirement data
  • Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Advanced computer skills – specifically, MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and SharePoint
    • Please be prepared to Complete Online Skills Assessments as part of the Application process.
  • Intermediate to Advanced-level skill and experience using Microsoft Excel including macros, external data connections, pivot tables, charts, and conditional formatting, preferred
  • Effective written and oral communication skills, with all organizational levels
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deliverables in a fast-paced environment

 

 

 

Location:

Our employees are distributed in office locations in multiple markets across the United States.  We are unable to hire or allow employees to work outside of the United States. This position is fully remote and will be able to work from home.

Compensation

In the spirit of pay transparency, we are excited to share the base salary for this position is $90,000 - $115,000, exclusive of fringe benefits or potential bonuses.  If you are hired at Liberty, your final base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience.  In addition to those factors – we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as a part of any, final offer.  Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is the full base salary range for the role.  Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical in order to allow for future & continued salary growth.
