Job Description

Commercial Lines Insurance CSR needed for an Insurance Agency located in Downtown San Diego - Hybrid Remote!

  • HOURS: Full-Time Hours, Mon-Fri, 8:00AM-5:00PM
  • DURATION: Direct Hire
  • WORKPLACE: Hybrid Remote – 2 days in office.
  • PAY: $60,000 - $63,000 per year, depending on experience. Commission potential.

Job Duties will include, but are not limited to:

Agency has a book of business that has $15 mil in premium with a total of 500 accounts mostly consisting of trucking and transportation.

Fleets up to 220 units.

  • Administrative duties will include documenting all customer service tasks in Salesforce via Service Tickets. Managing a wide array of requests from customers with varying completion times. Completing all submissions in a timely manner. Contacting customers to review changes in policies, premiums and carrier guidelines.
  • Service customers and stay on top of activities, certificates, underwriting emails/requests.
  • Cross sell current customers - learn to quote and sell personal lines
  • Calculate premiums, applicable discounts and other payments for products and services.
  • Prepare forms, applications, agreements.
  • Pivot customers to another product line on the phone or in person.
  • Deliver policies to customers with list of exclusions
  • Send documents or other information to customers, operations center, underwriters, etc; using computer, mail or fax.
  • Track and record policy changes and update information in Salesforce, Nowcerts search and Services and other files and databases as appropriate.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience recently working as a CL CSR, working within an independent agency environment.
  • Recent trucking/transportation experience preferred.
  • The qualified candidate must hold an active CA Property/Casualty license.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • EPIC or AMS 360 or TAM or Hawksoft required.
  • Candidate must be open to working in a team environment, must take initiative as needed, must be able to work independently, must have attention to detail and be able to work in a fast pace environment.
  • Bilingual Spanish a plus.
