We are looking for an Area Manager in China, to cover Greater China (China, Taiwan, Hong Kong & Macau).

Your mission will be to build and develop annual plans China to effectively grow a long term business with high levels of customer engagement. In addition, you will be responsible for the efficiency of market sales and trade spend through the fundamentals of our product distribution, exhibition and promotion execution.

What will be your responsibilities?

  • Market expansion for our products of the company primarily in Greater China region.
  • To plan and execute an effective business plan to create awareness and demand thereby increase market share.
  • Increase visibility and availability of our products, growing the category of the business.
  • Designs business development strategy, product portfolio and go-to-market strategy for all identified regions
  • Responsible for P&L management of the business
  • Responsible for distributor management such as negotiating, signing and managing distributor contracts; and managing distributor relations.
  • Coordinate with Marketing and Trade Marketing for the launch of new products and the development of new projects in their area/country.
  • Work closely with the supply chain and sales operation teams to ensure right stock levels with proper stock replenishment


Requirements:

Education: Degree holder in Business Administration, Marketing or other related discipline.

Experience: Minimum 10 years strong track record of distributor, key account management and success in managing a profitable FMCG business with previous work experience in Greater China and understanding its dynamic/trend. Confectionery experience is a plus.

Languages: Excellent in command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Mandarin). Knowledge in Cantonese is an added benefit

  • Strong planning, meticulous execution and the ability to resolve performance issues
  • Demonstrated ability to monitor and control people and systems responsible for critical results
  • Good analytical and problem solving skills
  • Aggressive and entrepreneurial to be ahead of competition
  • Well-organized, self-motivated and be able to work well under pressure
  • Proficiency in computer software including MS Words, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to travel
