We are seeking an experienced DevOps Consultant with a strong focus on GitHub and/or GitLab configuration, pipelines, and migrations. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of DevOps principles, extensive experience with CI/CD pipelines, and a proven track record of successfully migrating GitHub or GitLab projects and repos.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions or GitLab CI/CD.
  • Configure and optimize GitHub or GitLab repositories
  • Plan and execute migrations of repositories, issues, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Collaborate with development and operations teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment processes.
  • Provide technical guidance and consultation to clients on best practices for GitHub and GitLab usage.
  • Lead and mentor a team of DevOps engineers, providing technical guidance and support.
  • Manage project timelines, ensuring that milestones are met and deliverables are completed on schedule.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to GitHub and GitLab configurations and pipelines.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies in DevOps, GitHub, and GitLab.

  • Qualifications and Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in DevOps, with a focus on GitHub and/or GitLab.
  • Strong expertise in configuring and managing GitHub and/or GitLab repositories.
  • Proficiency in designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and GitLab CI/CD.
  • Experience with migrating projects and repos between GitHub and GitLab or from Server to Cloud.
  • Solid understanding of version control systems, branching strategies, and code review processes.
  • Proven leadership experience, with the ability to lead and mentor a team.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Familiarity with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform or Ansible.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

  • Certifications:
  • GitHub Admin, Actions, or Advanced Security certifications highly desired
  • GitLab CI/CD Associate, or Security Specialist certifications highly desired
