Your missions

The Commerce Media Planner will support the day-to-day planning for two (2) Major CPG clients and look to drive performance through RMN and third-party execution, while incorporating learnings garnered through measurement and analytics.

This role supports the media planning process, budget setting, industry tracking, test & learn agenda, etc. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to drive innovative media tactics that push the business forward. Participate in the establishment, tracking, and reporting of business and media KPIs. Manage external media and tech partners to ensure performance and cost efficiencies.


Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the planning, targeting, placement, and measurement of online media for high-value clients and strategic partners.
  • Must have experience working with WMC, Roundel, Kroger, ABSCO, and other retail media networks.
  • Have experience in retail enabled DSPs such as (Walmart DSP powered by Tradedesk, Amazon DSP, Google DV360, etc.)
  • Develop and maintain documentation related to media investments, including approvals and budgets across various traditional and digital channels.
  • Organize large-scale paid media programs across multiple ad tech platforms, including but not limited to Meta, Google, Twitter, LinkedIn, and Programmatic DSPs, ensuring optimal ROI for clients.
  • Coach, develop and lead the Media Planners within their internal roster, providing mentorship, feedback, and direction.
  • Ensure that clear strategies, targeted and optimized media mix, innovative messaging, continual test and learn, and actionable measurement are in place.
  • Manage ongoing optimization efforts to meet campaign goals, including daily management of campaign budgets, bid management, reporting, keyword and targeting strategies, and campaign revisions based on performance history and our client's goals.
  • Plan retail media display campaigns, daily optimizations, bid strategy development and managed and budget pacing.
  • Able to articulate data strategy and deliver recommendations to client regarding unique targeting opportunities.
  • Responsible for communication of campaign performance and work with our analytics teams and tech partners to develop and update performance reports to provide actionable insights and analysis.
  • Ensure campaigns are run to agree upon best practice guidelines.
  • Assist and attend regularly scheduled client performance and status meetings along with ad-hoc presentations/requests.
  • Direct Report to Senior Commerce Media Planner & Director, Commerce Media


Experience & Qualifications

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in advertising, Marketing or Communications


Work Experience & Skills Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2+ years of media planning experience, preferably within an agency setting.
  • Current knowledge of trends and innovations in digital media including: retail media display, retail search, paid search, paid social, programmatic.
  • Experience managing budgets, meeting KPIs and informing KPI goals.
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills, accompanied by proficiency in Excel for data analysis and formulation of actionable plans.
  • Strong understanding of media planning process, coupled with a desire to explore new tactics and drive client business growth.
  • Demonstrated project management skills, with the ability to manage details, budgets, and flowcharts effectively.
  • Creative problem-solver working with data both to solve problems and tell the story effectively.
