Job Description

As a Technical Reviewer Supply Chain Food Safety, you will assess and complete technical reviews of audit reports, certificate decisions, contract reviews, scope, duration and category queries. The Technical Reviewer SCFS plays a key role in the overall certification process and ensuring the quality of certification for our clients. The successful candidate must be comfortable working with strict deadlines and have the ability to multi-task effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct technical and quality assurance reviews of audit reports within desired volume of work KPI and within prescribed turnaround times
  • Review, evaluate and potentially reject/return audit reports that do not meet quality, accreditation, or scheme requirements back to the auditor along with reason(s) for rejection and action necessary
  • Accountable for maintaining open communication with management team to identify technical/quality issues or trends and provide recommendations for process improvements
  • Perform certificate decisions and contract reviews within desired volume of work KPI and within the prescribed turnaround time
  • Other duties or special projects as assigned

Qualifications

  • College degree in food-related or bioscience-related discipline
  • Lead Auditing course in any of the following schemes: SQF, BRC, FSSC, IFS
  • Must have a certification, course training or qualifications in at least two of the following schemes: SQF, BRC, FSSC, IFS
  • Experience with ISO 17065 and/or ISO 17021
  • 5-year work history in food industry, food handling, processing, or manufacturing
  • Successful completion of a 2-day (16 hour) HACCP course
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ years of auditing experience (80 hours minimum)

Salary Range: $64,000 - $83,000

The total pay range takes into account a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skills; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed pay range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At NSF, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the pay range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
