THE ROLE

We're creating a loved brand in Europe, and this is where your story begins!

As Barkyn's Purchasing Specialist, you will support the Operations team in making Barkyn an optimised procurement, purchasing and stock rotation machine.

Specifically, we expect you to:

  • Control and manage multi-supplier (Worldwide) and multi-warehouse (Europe) stock and purchasing;
  • Implement procurement related processes internally and with our suppliers;
  • Negotiate and create contracts with our suppliers;
  • Drive cost reduction initiatives, reduce stock costs through inventory turn optimisation, MOQ negotiation and payments to suppliers;
  • Drive and control the S&OP monthly process and plan stock purchases by product and by warehouse, together with the Sales, Marketing, Data and Finance teams;
  • Optimize stock distribution routes between warehouses;
  • Lead the Purchasing department;
  • Research and identify prospective suppliers.


Mandatory:

  • 5+ years as a Purchasing Specialist or Stock Management Control
  • Experience at B2C companies with own warehouses and inventory
  • Experience managing suppliers for product creation or cost optimization
  • Fluent in both Portuguese and English


Brownie Points:

  • Experience at a startup or in the Pet industry would be an advantage
  • Dog owner.
