Summary

Job Summary

As a Business Development Manager, you will promote and Communicate to the identified Customers the IFF and customer service platform in order to achieve and exceed our business objectives. Achieve financial goals for the IFF product range through the development and execution of the sales business plan, the support and execution of the industry business plans. Consistently adhere to and follow all IFF Core Value principles and business requirements and guidelines.

How You Will Contribute And Lead

  • Achieve Sales Target and Business Objectives within Thailand in line with H&B- Grain Processing and Brewing Regional Business Strategy and Annual Sales Budget Plan.
  • Extend relationship network at key accounts, develop and maintain customer intimacy to uncover customers’ unmet needs.
  • Translate customers’ needs into new business opportunities through clear scoping of business and technical requirements, and effective communication to internal stakeholders.
  • Work collaboratively with sales, applications, marketing and other functional teams to successfully commercialize new opportunities by providing “voice of customer”, maintaining attractive business case and effectively coordinating between internal teams, distributor(s) and customers.
  • Manage & drive distributor(s) to achieve Sales Objectives and Goals, through development of priorities and execution plan, regular engagement to drive execution and providing guidance (e.g recommended solution offering).
  • Ensure technical training/engagement needs of customers/distributor(s) are met through providing basic technical training and drawing support from internal technical team as needed.
  • Maintain up to date knowledge on market trends, competitive intelligence etc., to ensure relevance of market strategy.
  • Maintain updated 12 month rolling forecast of products on a monthly basis, and liaise with supply chain group, production and other functions to ensure proper and smooth supply to customers.
  • Maintain updated opportunity pipeline on monthly basis.
  • Maintain updated CRM - account profiles, account plans, call reports etc.
  • Provide effective and regular updates on market/customer developments/insights and progress on business objectives, to key regional stakeholders, to ensure adequate support to business objectives are provided.

What You Will Need To Be Successful

  • Degree in Biotechnology and/or Chemical Engineering
  • 5 or more years of work experience in commercial and/or technical sales role in Grain Processing and/or Brewing (e.g. starch sweetener production, fermentation ethanol production)
  • Proactive
  • International in outlook, but with strong cultural affinity for Asian markets
  • Team player, with strong interpersonal skills and networking ability
  • Effective listening, communication and presentation skills.
  • Bilingual in Thai and English
  • Proven negotiating & value selling skills
  • Key account management
  • Excellent problem solving and resolution skills
  • Willing to travel frequently
