What role will you play?

The need for clear instruction is vital in business, we are looking for a skilled technical writer who can typically develop product manuals, how-to guides, website help sections, journal articles, user guides, API Developer guides, and other content that distils technical information with ease and clarity.

  • Develop Inclusive documentation that meets organisation needs.
  • Research, outline, write and edit new and existing content.
  • Writing user-friendly content that meets the need for technical information and ease of understanding.
  • Obtain a deep understanding of products and services and translate complex information into simple and engaging formats going beyond traditional documentation.
  • Create in-depth user guides, FAQs, technical overviews, and in-product help documentation database.
  • Independently gather information from various departments and sources to develop, organize, and write procedure manuals, technical specifications, and process documentation, and other documents.
  • Work with development and support team leads to identify all documentation repositories and determine the best solution for data compilation and centralized storage.
  • Create, and maintain information architecture templates that uphold organizational and legal standards, and allow for easy data migration

What are we looking for?

  • Minimum 4 years of experience as a technical writer
  • Strong written and verbal communication and working experience with content in multiple mediums
  • Strong experience in owning end-to-end documentation creation processes.
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to prioritize and work on multiple projects in a fast-paced, changing environment.
  • Familiarity with API documentation for REST or. NET APIs.
  • Experience in creating documentation for audiences with different levels of technical skill (from end-users to developers)
  • Ideally, some initial understanding of the business (exposed to microfinance/banking industries, especially for tech companies)
  • Working remotely requires you to be autonomous, proactive, and accountable for your work.

What will be advantageous to have?

  • Experience working with the following tools preferred: Confluence/JIRA, Github, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and microservices.
  • Past experience in the same domain
