Senior DevOps Engineer (AWS) (Remote)

Key Responsibilities:

A Senior DevOps Engineer (AWS) who will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our cloud-based infrastructure and deployment processes. This role requires extensive experience with AWS services, a strong grasp of DevOps practices, and the ability to automate and optimize processes to ensure high availability, scalability, and security. The Senior DevOps Engineer will work closely with our development, operations, and delivery teams to deliver efficient and reliable solutions.

Infrastructure Management:

• Design, implement, and manage scalable, reliable, and secure AWS cloud infrastructure for Azdan’s applications.
• Utilize infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or Cloud Formation to automate the provisioning and management of AWS resources.
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate application deployment and delivery.
• Ensure high availability and disaster recovery solutions for critical applications and services.
  
  
  

Automation and Optimization:

• Automate repetitive tasks to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
• Optimize resource utilization to minimize costs while maintaining performance and reliability.
• Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions to proactively identify and resolve issues.
  
  
  

Security and Compliance:

• Implement security best practices for AWS environments, including identity and access management (IAM), encryption, and network security.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations by implementing necessary security controls and conducting regular audits.
• Collaborate with security teams to perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing.
  
  
  

Collaboration and Support:

• Work closely with development teams to understand application requirements and provide infrastructure solutions.
• Support development teams in troubleshooting and resolving issues related to deployment and infrastructure.
• Collaborate with operations teams to ensure smooth and reliable operation of applications in production environments.
  
  
  

Continuous Improvement:

• Stay current with industry trends and advancements in AWS services, DevOps practices, and related technologies.
• Continuously evaluate and improve existing infrastructure and processes to enhance efficiency, security, and reliability.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior DevOps engineers and other team members.
  
  
  

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in DevOps engineering, with a focus on AWS cloud environments.
• Strong understanding of AWS services, including EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, IAM, Cloud Formation, and more.
• Proven experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or Cloud Formation.
• Proficiency in scripting and automation using languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD principles and experience with tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI.
• Experience with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
• Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  
  
  

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Master’s degree is a plus.
